NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS SEEKS IT INTERN

Are you a Sinfonian who has expertise and education in coding and programming? Are you interested in a summer opportunity to put that expertise to work to benefit the Fraternity? If so, we want you! Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is looking to hire an intern for an IT Internship.
EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: June 1, 2011 - July 31, 2011 (some flexibility offered)
QUALIFICATIONS: Broad experience with web design, database design and implementation. Knowledge should include: PHP and MySQL, ASP, Microsoft SQL , Joomla, Wordpress and/or other CMS, Windows Small Business Server 2008, Microsoft Office.
The IT Intern will work with supervision and cooperation from Fraternity IT Volunteers and the COO to begin the process of developing, designing and implementing the following projects:

Development and implementation of overall plan of attack and timeline for Fraternity IT needs
- Implement new database system, converting current database from Microsoft SQL to MySQL, keeping all current functionalities intact
- Create and implement online billpay system for members
- Create and implement online reporting system for chapters
- Development and implementation of new website, including integration of dynamic CMS

The application deadline is Wednesday, May 4. This position is open to members and non-members. If a member who lives outside Evansville is hired, a housing stipend will be available. Compensation in the amount of $4,000 will be offered for these two months’ work.
