Albion College - Beta Iota
This past semester has been a productive one for our chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. The second half of the year started out with nine newly initiated members. With this growth of the chapter, it helped us span out across campus with our annual Valentine’s Day Serenades, and our yearly Mill’s Music Mission to Tendercare Retirement Home of Albion. Our chapter looks forward to bringing this same joy for the new school year.

Bradley University - Delta Nu
We had the privilege of initiating a new member into our chapter, as well as featuring Terry Riley's "In C" at a Spring American Composer's recital. The piece was an excellent opportunity to watch our musical ensemble blend and grow expressively individually and as a whole. The semester was not as busy as years past, but we are looking forward to further developments this fall.

Cal State University-Fresno - Gamma Pi
With notable success, our fledgling chapter has done its best to be a positive force in the community, and further understand our directive to advance music in America. We’ve been conducting music missions, performing concerts, and helping out in the music department. We also initiated our first pledge class, strengthening the chapter’s presence on our campus. With hearts for music’s gladness, we look forward to the semesters ahead.

Elmhurst College - Pi Iota
We planned two Mills Music Missions, as well as our annual American Music Recital, where we had catered hors d'oeuvres and had our largest attendance to date. We also went on a brotherhood retreat to an outdoor nature center in Oregon, Illinois. During this retreat, we planned our upcoming semester and serenaded the facility’s staff. We initiated six new brothers and six active brothers became alumni.

Frostburg State University - Xi Omega
The chapter brought a revised probationary member process and four new brothers. Along with our Piano Bash to benefit Frostburg Friends of Music, we hosted a bake sale for the student scholarship fund. A great AMR and graduation rounded out the year!

Ithaca College - Delta
The chapter enjoyed hosting its brothers from the Virginia Zeta colony at George Mason University, including several workshops given by current and alumni brothers of the chapter, and trips to original chapter house locations. In addition, the chapter enjoyed further success in bringing alumni brothers back to their roots through ongoing alumni association projects. To top off our semester, four outstanding men were successfully initiated into the chapter.

Longwood University - Mu Delta
Our main event was the celebration of our thirtieth anniversary with alumni from as far back as our charter class in 1979. The campus was alive with music as we serenaded much of our portfolio to other university organizations. Many alumni also made guest appearances with the school’s jazz band, making the weekend’s concert an unforgettable show. Our alumni also witnessed the initiation of our Beta Delta class; a true treat for the chapter’s founding brothers.

Michigan State University - Gamma Epsilon
The chapter had a successful semester in which we experienced tremendous growth. Our MMM at a local retirement home went extremely well and the residents thoroughly enjoyed our presence. We also had an end-of-the-year cookout in our College of Music courtyard and with the help of a jazz combo, we enjoyed great success. Our chapter had a fantastic ritual in which we initiated three brothers.

Morehouse College - Xi Eta
The chapter hosted a week-long series of events called "A Sinfonian Expose" on our school's campus which included a concert and an "open-mic" session entitled "Sinfonia Sessions." We successfully completed a Mills Music Mission on Easter Sunday at Sunrise Senior Living. In addition, we worked with other Greek-letter organizations on the campus to create the school's first Greek newsletter. Finally, we were glad to initiate five new brothers into our chapter.

Morgan State University - Pi Eta
Our chapter held many events such as our American Musical Recital, the Annual Valentine's Day Musicale, and a Mills Music Mission. We initiated six new brothers into our chapter. A number of chapter brothers were present for the reactivation of the Nu Iota Chapter at South Carolina State University. The chapter is currently working on more activities that will include the campus as a whole.

Norfolk State University - Rho Mu
Our first full semester as a chapter was a complete success. Among tasks completed included, building rapport with administration, the music department, and the student body. We participated in two very successful MMM’s with the opportunity to reach out to over fifty people. The chapter hosted a choir versus band basketball game (which attracted over 150 people), and initiated six very talented young men.

Northern Arizona University - Kappa Xi
Our chapter organized our first initiation which recruited 14 new members adding a total of 38 members to our chapter. During our first Ritual ceremony, several brothers from California came to sing several sections of the music and provide ritual materials. The local SAI members threw a celebration for the new members baking for them treats in showing their support.

Sam Houston State University - Zeta Mu
Our chapter recently helped a Sinfonian faculty member build an outdoor deck in the backyard, which progressed from a morning of hard labor to an all-day social event. In April, we participated in with our province in the first ever multi-province Mills Music Mission.
We have been busy advancing music in America as well with the Jazz Ensemble, which is half Sinfonian in total band members, perform with John Fedchock in April.

Simpson College - Pi
Our chapter held our annual All College Sing competition, to a great crowd. We also put together a new education plan and set out a better system for running chapter meetings. Lastly we initiated 4 new members into the chapter.

South Carolina State University - Nu Iota
After a year and a half journey, 17 prestigious and dynamic men revived life into our chapter on March 28, 2009. We had the honor of having a majority of Province 30 and Committeeman-at-large Bincins Garcia, Omicron Pi (Cal State-Fullerton) ’00, attend the initiation and witness the making of men of the highest type. We owe much grace and appreciation to our faculty advisors, Robert Lawrence, Iota Nu (Troy) ’77, and Dr. Jimmy A. Cheek, Iota Beta (North Carolina A&T State) ’90, for their wisdom and dedication to our beloved chapter.

Tennessee State University - Eta Xi
Our chapter hosted the Spring Fling Workshop for Province 15. Over fifty brothers gathered and enjoyed an arousing afternoon of singing and brotherhood bonding activities. The chapter was also presented "The King" which is a Province Traveling Award at the annual event as well. Moreover, the chapter hosted a Jazz/Poetry set in the on-campus apartment complex which will become an annual tradition in the semesters to come.

University of Arkansas - Alpha Omicron
Our chapter decided to forego rush events to focus on brotherhood activities and to do as many MMM's as possible. We held our third annual Sausagefest, where we downed 20 lbs. of sausage. With 25 active members, we worked recitals and helped support our Music Department.

University of Central Florida - Mu Eta
Our fundraiser of Valentines serenades and what we earned with our newly formed jazz and brass ensembles have well exceeded expectation. With a probationary class of ten outstanding musicians, we are truly reaching new heights.

University of Georgia - Epsilon Lambda
Our chapter hosted a luncheon for faculty Sinfonians, encouraging brotherhood among the faculty, as well as allowing them to get to know our chapter outside the classroom. We also began planning for our 60th anniversary, including commissioning a piece to be played by our Wind Ensemble. We had a Mills Music Mission to two retirement homes, initiated nine new brothers, and had a Spring Formal to close out an amazing semester.

University of Miami - Beta Tau
Our chapter continued to advance music around campus through several public concerts (including a joint concert with SAI and TBS) and singing to sororities on the days leading up to Valentine’s Day. Brotherhood activities included trips to province events as well as sports days and barbecues. To maintain close ties with alumni, we organized a canoe trip during the week of spring break. Additionally, we were able to initiate four new brothers.

University of Nebraska - Upsilon
The chapter hosted a week-long series of events called "A Sinfonian Expose" on our school's campus which included a concert and an "open-mic" session entitled "Sinfonia Sessions." We successfully completed a Mills Music Mission on Easter Sunday at Sunrise Senior Living. In addition, we worked with other Greek-letter organizations on the campus to create the school's first Greek newsletter. Finally, we were glad to initiate five new brothers into our chapter.

University of North Texas - Gamma Theta
Our chapter performed a complete performance of The Sinfonians at our American Music Recital to much praise. We were also part of an inter-province Mills Music Mission in Houston, TX. Among other great semester events we completed another annual chapter wide composite picture, initiated eight new brothers into our chapter, and elected our new chapter officers.

University of Redlands - Delta Pi
The chapter focused on countless activities, including hosting a school-wide music appreciation week and volunteering our services as ushers for the Redlands Symphony Orchestra for each of their subscription series concerts. We successfully completed two MMMs at the Plymouth Village Retirement Community in Redlands, CA. Additionally, three new brothers were initiated into the chapter, bringing the total number of collegiate members to 21.

University of Tennessee-Martin - Sigma Psi
Our chapter took its annual trip to Lambert’s Café in Sikeston, Missouri. We managed to have a great turnout of chapter alumni from across the United States in addition to the twenty active brothers. The hour and a half ride there, the great food, and the games we played all helped to develop the bonds among our chapter even further.

University of Texas-El Paso - Nu Lambda
After being reinstalled in January, the chapter began recruiting a new class of brothers. In April, seven new Sinfonians were welcomed to the brotherhood, bringing the chapter to nineteen members. The chapter participated in a Mills Music Mission at the Horizon Healthcare Center, a nursing home near campus. The brothers continued their role as the official ushers of all music department events and continue daily to grow as Sinfonians.

Eastern New Mexico University - Theta Phi Colony
We applied for and received our colony status. We have done some successful fundraising, elected officers, and began working on our Phase I requirements. We are honored to have the Iota Pi Chapter from West Texas A&M University mentor us on our path to be reactivated into official chapter status.

University of Texas-Arlington - Sigma Omega Colony
Our colony began March 2009 with eight hopeful musicians eager to ignite the fire of fraternal love burning bright throughout Sinfonia. Ever upward, we now conclude each week singing the Sinfonia Parting Song in a circle linked by the arms of thirty men. Together in Perfect Harmony, we shall continue to expand beyond the borders of our contentions to build upon it a brotherhood experience unparalleled by the original Journey eight extraordinary men embarked upon.
