Convention Proceedings Published
October 12, 2012
On Friday, October 12, National Secretary-Treasurer K. Dean Shatley II directed Chief Operating Officer Jeremy M. Evans to announce the publication and availability of the 2012 National Convention Proceedings booklet, having been previously approved by National President John Mongiovi. The Convention program booklet was made available electronically for the first time as well. The program booklet serves as a supplement to the Proceedings booklet, and is referenced several times in the Proceedings.
The 2012 National Convention took place in Orlando, Florida, July 11-15, 2012. Pursuant to the National Constitution and Bylaws, the National Secretary-Treasurer must publish the Convention Proceedings to each member of the National Council (chapters, National Executive Committee members, and Province Governors) not later than 90 days following the Convention, following the approval of the National President.
An e-mail copy of this announcement is being forwarded to all members of the National Council, and a hard copy of the Proceedings booklet will be distributed in the November care package mailing from the national office.
Evans noted, "The Proceedings booklet, in combination with the program booklet, give the most accurate record of our Fraternity's most recent Convention. Brothers interested in learning more about what happened at Convention will be pleased to find the Proceedings and Program Booklet serve 'tell the tale' of the Convention in a detailed and interesting way. Not only that, but the new formats of the Proceedings and Program Booklet help to create a triennial record of Fraternity accomplishments and progress."
