Early on the morning of Sunday, January 27, a fire heavily damaged the rear section of the Alpha Lambda (Illinois Wesleyan) Chapter House. All 15 brothers who live in the house escaped unharmed.
At least two bedrooms were severely damaged by fire and the back third of the building was significantly damaged. Firefighters broke doors to get into other rooms and smoke damaged the contents of much of the house.
The fire was caused by an electrical problem between the basement ceiling and the third floor. You can read more about the Alpha Lambda Chapter house fire at these two links:

Breakfast and lunch will be provided as brothers from around the region help the men of Alpha Lambda clean up the house. After work finishes up at 3pm, brothers will head out to an inexpensive buffet dinner, with a silent auction, poker tournament and much more!
