Matthew Garber, Mu Delta (Longwood) ’99, director of development for the Sinfonia Educational Foundation since 2006, resigned his position on January 25, 2009. The Board of Trustees, after receiving Garber’s resignation, has made the decision not to seek a replacement at this time.
Garber said that in the past three years, “the staff and volunteers have made great strides in solidifying the future for our Fraternity. I believe that we have never been in a better position to obtain growth and success than today. From the Strategic Plan to a commitment to great programs such as the tripling of ensembles at our 2009 National Convention, this is a great time to be a part of Phi Mu Alpha.”
All development-related inquiries should now be directed to Ryan Ripperton, executive director, at (800) 473-2649, ext. 107, or ripperton@sinfonia.org. Brothers wishing to stay in communication with Brother Garber may do so on Facebook or by e-mail at garber.matthew@gmail.com.
Since 2006, the Sinfonia Educational Foundation has made significant advances in its visibility and the members awareness of its integral role in the future success of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. The development of this visibility and awareness will be among Garbers lasting contributions to the SEF.
Garber championed the development of the PULSE campaign, which encourages alumni to sign up for recurring monthly contributions. This campaign has greatly assisted the SEF with its growth and makes it easier for alumni to give more sizable contributions on an annual basis.
