On April 7, 2009, the National Headquarters staff shipped approximately 500 pins to chapters affected by the membership pin backorder. We are very pleased with the significantly increased quality of the new membership pins.
Later this week, tracking numbers will be e-mailed to chapters receiving shipments of backordered pins. This shipment fulfilled approximately 40% of all outstanding backorders, and our hope is to be able to fulfill all remaining backorders by the end of the academic term.
Again, we apologize for the lengthy delay and the difficulties experienced as a result. Of course, we will continue to keep everyone apprised of further developments, including the arrival of further shipments of pins.
NOTE: An announcement about the receipt of pins was posted to the www.sinfonia.org website late last week, but because of technology difficulties was unable to be announced via email.
