On February 10th, a tornado touched down on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. All of the School of Music’s facilities sustained damage, with two of the buildings completely destroyed.

In order to aid the music community at the University of Southern Mississippi, the Sinfonia Educational Foundation has established the USM School of Music Disaster Relief Fund. Tax-deductible gifts can be contributed to the fund whose purpose is to provide replacement music, equipment, and other needs that were lost as the result of the storm. Contributions to the fund can be made via check or money order payable to the Sinfonia Educational Foundation. Donors should include “USM School of Music Disaster Relief Fund” in the memo line of the check. Donations can also be made online by clicking the “Give To the SEF” button on the Foundation website.

Any questions on the fund should be sent to sef@sinfonia.org.
