During the Month of September, President Mark Lichtenberg issued a new Sinfonia Song Challenge – Sinfonia, Sinfonia (Our Songs to Thee We Sing) written by Harris/Crosby. It seemed fitting for our Former National President, Brother Richard A. Crosby, to judge the entries for this particular challenge.
Congratulations to the Gamma Theta Chapter at the University of North Texas on being named the Winner!
The Sinfonia Song Challenge serves as a great way to expose chapters, alumni associations, or just groups of Brothers to music from the current edition of our Songbook that they may not know as well as our standards. Brothers are asked to record themselves performing a particular song and upload it to YouTube using #SinfoniaSongChallenge.
All the songs selected for this fall’s round of Challenges play prominent roles in published ceremonies, so we urge you to take this opportunity to brush up, so that you can add each of the available ceremonies to your chapter’s program, and enrich the Sinfonian experience for your Brothers.
The current challenge was issued in October via special announcement via email and in The Sinfonian members-only group on Facebook, and the deadline is approaching soon. Have you filed your entry for the latest Sinfonia Song Challenge?
