Brothers—

I write today to share with you news regarding the National Executive Committee. Last week, due to increasing family obligations, Brother Joe Ritchie resigned from his position of Committeeman-at-large, and I am sharing his communication at the bottom of this message.

Brother Ritchie has served the Fraternity at virtually all levels, including a stint on the National Staff as Director of Collegiate Activities from 1995-96, Province Governor in Province 13 from 2002-12 and most recently as Committeeman-at-large for the past five-plus years. He continues to serve as Faculty Advisor for the Iota Tau Chapter at Old Dominion University.

Throughout his time in Fraternity leadership, Joe has consistently worked to provide a better experience for all Sinfonians, and I am truly appreciative of his many contributions to our Order throughout the years. Please join me in thanking Brother Richie for everything he has done for the betterment of Sinfonia and in wishing him well in all of his endeavors. We all look forward to the next opportunity for our paths to cross!

Fraternally yours,
In Phi, Mu, Alpha,

Mark R. Lichtenberg
National President

Joe asked that the letter below be shared with the Brotherhood.

Dear Brothers:

Due to some family situations I have had to reevaluate my commitment to the fraternity at a national level.  One of my issues is that I have a family member who is getting married the same week as the convention and after much thought I feel I need to attend the wedding which is outside of the country.  Since I will not able to complete my duties on the NEC to the very end of my term, I feel it is best for me to resign my position as Committeeman-at-Large as I do not want to continue to have an impact on things that I will not be able to vote on.

I want to thank everyone who supported me in my role over the past few years and especially to those brothers who put their faith in me at the 2012 Orlando Convention.  I hope that I have lived up to your expectations and I look forward to contributing to wherever I am needed in the future.  Sinfonia is for a lifetime and I am so grateful that this position was part of the journey.

I look forward to seeing many of you at future events.

In Sinfonia,

Joe

Thank you for your service to Sinfonia, Brother!
