Thank you for your service, Brother!
On August 9, 2019, we received notice from Brother John Israel that he wanted to dedicate more time to his family and his career. He noted that, effective immediately, he would be resigning from his position as the National Vice President, stating, “I appreciate the opportunity that I have had to serve our brothers over the past several years. I also thank the brothers of our Fraternity for giving me this wonderful opportunity.”
Brother Israel was initiated as a charter member of the Pi Zeta chapter (Lindenwood University) in 2001. He served as the chapter’s president from 2001 – 2003 and as treasurer from 2003-2004. Brother Israel’s work on the national level began when he was elected as the Collegiate Province Representative for Province 19 for the 2003-2004 term.
In 2005, National President Richard Crosby appointed Brother Israel to serve as Governor of Province 19, and he served in that role for 14 years. During his tenure as Province Governor, he served as the PG Council Secretary from 2008-2009, was presented with the “Province Governor of the Year” award in 2009, and was elected to three successive terms as the Chairman of the PG Council from July 2009 to July of 2018.
During John’s tenure as Chairman of the PG Council, he chaired several committees, worked to revise Fraternity manuals, and visited numerous chapters and provinces. John has been a friend and Brother to many Sinfonians across the country. We are grateful for Brother Israel’s 18 years of service to Sinfonia and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
