Share the Gift of Music this Holiday Season
For many, the holidays are a joyous time of year, one that brings about fond memories and quality time with friends and family. However, many others are not as fortunate, and the holidays can be a very difficult time. Some people will find themselves alone this year with no one to celebrate with, and others will be experiencing the holidays for the first time after the loss of a loved one. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, the Brothers of Phi Mu Alpha wish to help spread joy and cheer throughout the holiday season.
We have long used the healing power of music to uplift spirits and bring communities together. Inspired by Ossian Mills’ work back in the late 1800s, Brothers across the country will share music with those in need, just as our founder did at the hospitals in the Boston, Massachusetts, area.
Phi Mu Alpha annually encourages Brothers – collegiate and alumni alike – to participate in a holiday Mills Music Mission during the month of December. The music we make together helps to combat those holiday blues and will often bring a smile to someone’s face, even if just for a moment. We genuinely believe we can make a positive difference in our world when we come together as a community to share music and create a connection.

What Difference Can You Make?
As Brothers report their Mills Music Mission experiences, they are displayed on the Mills Music Mission Impact Map. The map is a look at the impact of the Fraternity’s philanthropic efforts across the country.
Visit the Mills Music Mission page to check out the map. While exploring, click on a location for a closer look at where the Brothers of Phi Mu Alpha have visited and made a difference in the lives of others.
