56th National Convention Registration

Registration for the Fifty-Sixth National Convention is now open. Members should register for the package assigned to their membership classification. Available Registration packages are listed below:

Packages include lodging, 4 meals, registration, concert/event tickets, and all programming, as well as any applicable taxes and fees. Early Registration ends May 31, 2018. Standard Registration begins June 1, 2018 and ends June 22, 2018. Late Registration opens June 23, 2018 through June 29, 2018, and will re-open onsite according to availability.

Please note: We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate Full Access registrations after June 29, as hotel and meal availability may be limited.

Current Faculty Advisors and senior Alumni 65 years of age or older are eligible to register at the Collegiate member rate. Special programming is being developed specifically for Faculty Advisors, and we encourage as many as are able to attend!

Registration Process

 The Registration site will allow you to register for yourself, or for a group of members (from 2 to 25 members in the same session), for each package. You will be asked to enter your contact information, and answer some questions about your interest in programming options, special dietary or lodging needs, T-shirt size, voice part and major instrument. Members who wish to participate in one of the Convention ensembles should indicate that in general registration, and we will contact them with audition information following the registration.

Please be sure that the email address you provide at registration is typed correctly, and one you use and check frequently. Information on new offerings and updates will be sent to this address, as well as any schedule changes or Convention-related announcements.

The package prices are based on Double Occupancy at the hotel. Each registration includes one-half of a double room. Members have the option of securing a single room by paying an additional $344.00 to cover the full cost of the room. The Fraternity has negotiated a discounted rate with the Sheraton New Orleans for hotel rooms, and does not profit from lodging or meal charges. Members also have the option of registering non-member guests. There are two basic options for this: Hotel only, or Hotel plus meals, which includes Thursday night’s dinner and the Gala Banquet. Club Level rooms are available on a limited basis. Members who wish to upgrade room choice, or add à la carte options, should contact the National Headquarters at (812) 867-2433, or email registration@sinfonia.org.

Do not contact the Sheraton Hotel directly. You will not be able to register as part of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia event block, or take advantage of the preferred pricing that is offered for National Convention. If you have any questions regarding your lodging situation, please contact the National Headquarters directly.

Convention Registration is non-refundable, except in extreme cases of emergency. The Fraternity must make financial commitments with the hotel to hold space and prepare for meals based on your registration, and cannot absorb those costs.

If you are registering for a double room, you have the option of specifying a preferred roommate, or allowing a roommate to be assigned by the Fraternity. If you specify a member as your preferred roommate, that member should likewise specify you as a preferred roommate when registering. Roommates must select the same registration type and package. If a member registers for the Early rate package, the roommate must also register for the same package in order to guarantee the room assignment. The Quantity option allows both roommates to register in the same session, and we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this option. 

Members who are bringing non-member guests should select the ‘Preferred Roommate’ option and designate the non-member guest as the preferred roommate.

Additional Registration Options 

À la carte registration add-ons are now available for purchase. With these options, you can independently purchase additional meals, concert tickets, room upgrades, and hotel nights for you and/or your guests. You can make à la carte purchases at

The Program Schedule for Educational and Program sessions is still being finalized. You will be asked to register for these sessions closer to the beginning of the Convention, and will also have the ability to register for sessions upon on-site check in and registration at the Convention site, subject to availability.
