August 28, 2009

On Wednesday, August 26, Daniel Krueger, director of alumni engagement, presented the National Citation to Chicago in recognition of their accomplished music career. In addition, Lee Loughnane, Kappa Phi (DePaul) '65 and James Pankow, Kappa Phi (DePaul) '66 received Signature Sinfonian awards for their individual achievements and accomplishments as part of Chicago. (Walt Parazaider, Kappa Phi (DePaul) '64 was not in attendance).

The presentations were held before a concert performance with Earth, Wind & Fire at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Eight Sinfonians attended the presentation and concert.

Loughnane and Pankow were gracious enough to sign a copy of the Sinfonia Songs songbook with the hopes of getting Parazaider to sign at a later date. The autographed songbook will be made available to be bid on during a future auction by the Sinfonia Educational Foundation.

More pictures and information about the award presentation and concert are available on the Director of Alumni Engagement Blog.
