Volunteer of the Year Award Nominations

The Volunteer of the Year Award honors those Sinfonians who have significantly contributed to the betterment of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia through volunteer work. Faculty Advisors, Province Governors, and other volunteers are eligible to receive this award. NEC members are not eligible for this award. Those who submit candidates for nomination must be able to provide current contact information for the nominees.

  • Nominations

  • Nominations must be received no later than April 1 of any given year to be considered. Both the nominating member and nominee must be in good standing with the Fraternity. Any Sinfonian who has significantly contributed to the betterment of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia through volunteer work on the chapter, province, or national level may be nominated for the award. Current National Executive Committee members are not eligible to receive this award. This award is not intended to recognize superlative performance in a chapter office.

  • Selection Process

  • Members may nominate candidates by completing the application below, or print and complete the application provided in the Guide to Awards and forward to the National Headquarters. The National Awards Committee will consider nominations and have each selections ratified by the National Executive Committee at their next regularly scheduled meeting.

  • Recipient Materials

  • All recipients of the Volunteer of the Year award receive a plaque to commemorate their accomplishments. Their name will also appear on a plaque housed at the National Headquarters.
