IMPORTANT NOTICE
National Headquarters Transitions to Emergency Mobile Operations
Evansville, Indiana – Tuesday, March 24, 2020
In response to Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s statewide “Shelter in Place” executive order, issued on March 23, 2020, the National Headquarters will close to all public access effective at 11:59 PM Central Daylight Time today, and extending through Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
For the safety of our members and the members of the National Staff, the National Headquarters will be closed to visitors and will not conduct tours, retreats, meetings or other events until the “Shelter in Place” order has been lifted.
Staff members will transition to working from home until further notice. We have established procedures to cover this eventuality, and have installed systems, processes and tools to support mobile access, so all required processes will continue uninterrupted during the shutdown.
We will lose some of the rollover capabilities for telephone calls while in mobile operations mode, so we ask that members direct questions, requests and responses to nhq@sinfonia.org by email. This mailbox is monitored by multiple members of the Staff, and will provide the best access and quickest responses. We ask that any questions or responses regarding Probationary Member classes or Initiations be directed to pmreg@sinfonia.org by email.
We realize that campus closures and the transition to online learning can complicate chapter officer-faculty advisor communications. Faculty Advisors who need information or assistance are reminded to utilize the existing fasupport@sinfonia.org email and will generally receive responses within 24-48 hours.
During the closure of the National Headquarters, priority will be given to required and essential business functions – reporting, registrations, payments and risk management. Requests for non-essential services – visual identity requests, mailing lists, award requests – may be delayed until normal operations are resumed. We will not ship materials to chapter addresses until campuses reopen. The Sinfonia Store and Sinfonia Custom are operated separately and will maintain normal production and fulfillment of orders during the shutdown of the National Headquarters.
Please be advised that similar orders issued in other states have been extended or revised, and we anticipate the same may apply to the Indiana order.
We will do everything we can to support critical operations during the shutdown, and will address non-critical requests as soon as we are able to do so. We will keep you advised of any changes as the situation develops. Thank you for your patience as we navigate the transition to mobile operations.
